Kindergarten at Faith
The ECS program helps students develop spiritually, physically, academically, socially, and emotionally.
• Faith Lutheran School offers a 475 hour Early Childhood Program as approved by Alberta Education. Students meet two full days each week on Tuesday and Thursday, and all day on Wednesdays for twelve weeks following Christmas.
• The primary focus of the ECS Program is to lead and direct students through structured and unstructured play activities, through which learning takes place. Many specific activities are reinforced by field trips. The entire program is intended to help students develop spiritually, physically, academically, socially, and emotionally. Faith promotes a strong phonetic-based language program beginning in ECS.
• Speech therapy is available in conjunction with Capital Health for those students experiencing speech and language delays.
• Student progress is reported four times during the year. In addition, the kindergarten teacher visits each family in the home to familiarize the student and the family with the philosophy and expectations of the school.
• Faith Lutheran School is committed to helping every student develop as a child of God.
