History
The Edmonton Lutheran School Society was formed in 1994 for the purpose of establishing Lutheran schools in the greater Edmonton community. Because no single congregation was able or interested in opening a school on its own, a Society of individuals and congregations was organized to operate schools.
The first of these schools, Faith Lutheran School, was established in the Spring of 1994. The school met in two different leased facilities before moving to its present campus in 1997. The Alberta-British Columbia District of the Lutheran Church - Canada, Concordia High School, and Concordia University College were instrumental in helping the school open and in providing continuing support since then.
The present campus was formerly a Christian Reformed school which relocated to a larger facility. It includes spacious playfields, classrooms, gym, offices and an outdoor playground.
