Keeping Tuition Affordable
An aggressive fund-raising program helps keep tuition affordable for Faith families and for those desiring the best in Christian education for their children. These annual fundraisers provide opportunities to supplement income for the benefit of Faith students:
Golf Tournament - The golf tournament is usually held in early fall before the snow flies. This fundraising event is a joint venture with Concordia High School. We have many sponsors who donate prizes or money. A silent auction is also held. The golfers participate with either an entry fee or finding individuals to sponsor them in the tournament. This event raises close to $4000 for each school.
Silent Auction – This is Faith Lutheran School's major fundraiser of the year. This is a delightful evening of fine food, exquisite items and unforgettable memories. Each class makes up a themed basket to be auctioned during the live auction. Donations are received from individuals and businesses throughout the Edmonton area and beyond. The school raises approximately $8000 through this very popular fundraiser. This event is sponsored by FaithLife with a matching grant of up to $1000.
Garage Sale – The Garage Sale is held in the spring of each year. This is an excellent opportunity for the community to come into the school. Supporters of Faith from congregations as well as parents from the school donate items they no longer want. The sale fills the entire gym. A concession stand is available for this 3-day event. We raise approximately $4000 for the school through this event.
PTL fundraisers (all proceeds are currently going to new playground pieces):
Spell-a-thon - Students get sponsors to sponsor them in spelling. Students also receive prizes for how well they did on the spelling test and in raising funds. Students raise about $2000.
Mundare Sausage Sales – Just in time for Christmas, the famous Mundare Sausage rings are sold. The school makes a certain % off each ring sold (approximately $1700).
Entertainment Books - These popular coupon books have been an ongoing fundraiser since the school opened and are looked forward to by families, congregation and community members. FaithLife also provides a matching grant of up to $1000 for this fundraising endeavor.
